AFP's Fundraising Fundamentals Course is an introduction to fundraising for those who are new to the field. Career changers and junior professionals turn to Fundamentals to acquire skills necessary for building a successful fundraising program. Development directors and CEOs encourage their staff to attend to give them a well rounded knowledge of fundraising and development. With more than 10 faculty members dedicating their time to this course, registrants will have direct access to accomplished individuals from a variety of fundraising sectors and backgrounds.
Learn to apply fundraising techniques in the context of changing demographics, emerging management models, and ethical challenges. The course covers all the key areas of the development process from identifying your priorities and prospects, to the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship process, and planned giving. Corporate and foundation solicitation strategies and major gifts components also will be covered. Attendees will receive comprehensive resources and summaries for each interactive session.
The course includes an opportunity to network with peers and gain a lasting experience that provides resources we hope you can draw upon as your fundraising career develops.
